Astronomy at Malcolm Knapp

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada- Vancouver recently opened their observatory at the Malcolm Knapp to the public for a special night of viewing the summer night sky. Participants were driven to the observatory, and had the opportunity to view astrophotography image data taken from the observatory, as well as using field telescopes to see galaxies, nebulas, double stars, clusters and Saturn.

RASC- Vancouver volunteers gave a guided laser tour of the summer constellations, and helped participants assemble a Star wheel. They were available to answer any questions about the observatory and the summer night sky.
